Cimer, the luxury spa facility at Paradise City on Yeongjong Island, is a top-tier resort and entertainment architectural masterpiece that pushes the physical properties of materials 

to the extreme to maximize the sensory experience of light and water, much like the etymology of its name, which combines "water" (Ciel, meaning sky in French) and "sea" (Mer).

This is a work designed by the master of industrial design, Alessandro Mendini.

First, the striking combination of aurora-hued ceramic tiles on the facade and emerald-colored U-Glass stands out.

The calm, vertical mass of U-Glass on the right gently embraces the colorful surface of the ceramics, creating visual balance.

The meeting of these two materials intuitively conveys, right from the exterior, the "extraordinary and dreamy atmosphere" that a resort should possess.

The unique translucency of U-Glass and its refreshing mint color create a visual illusion that the interior is filled with water. Rather than a massive concrete box, 

it offers a sense of lightness and freshness reminiscent of an intricately sculpted mass of water, cleverly projecting the identity of the interior spa space through its exterior facade.
